Terms of use

The agreement between you and us when you use our extensions, start a trial, buy a licence or use this website.

Last updated 15 October 2026

In short. Our extensions show information read from your own Dynamics 365 environment. They do not decide anything and do not change anything. What you do with that information is your decision and your responsibility. Always check in D365 before you act. The extensions are provided as they are, without guarantees. Our liability is limited as far as the law allows: never for indirect damage, and never more than what you paid us in the last 12 months.

The extensions, their code and this website belong to us. You get a right to use them, nothing more. Copying, reselling, rebranding, modifying or decompiling them, getting around the licence check, or attacking our systems is forbidden, ends your licence without refund, and can be pursued in court.

This summary helps you read the terms below; the terms themselves apply.

1. Who we are

The extensions are made and sold by PW Scan IT BV, Pantserstraat 1, 8800 Roeselare, Belgium, enterprise number BE 1003.139.851, RPR Gent, afdeling Kortrijk (“we”, “us”), trading as Scan It Labs. Contact: hello@pwscanit.com.

Scan It Labs is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft. Microsoft, Dynamics 365 and Edge are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.

2. Scope

These terms apply to every use of our browser extensions (free and paid, including trials and beta versions), to licences, and to this website. By installing an extension, starting a trial, buying a licence or using the website, you accept them. If you accept them on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it, and “you” also means that organisation.

Our consultancy services are not covered by these terms; they are governed by the agreement or quotation for that assignment.

Our products are intended for business use by professionals working with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

3. The extensions

The extensions are browser extensions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (“D365”). They read data from D365 through your own signed-in session, process it in your browser and show you the result: for example why an order appears to be stuck, which settings differ between environments, or which stock is available. They are designed to be read-only: they do not create, change or delete data in D365.

The extensions depend on D365, your browser and your security roles, which we do not control. Microsoft changes D365 regularly; a change can make a feature give incomplete or wrong results, or stop working, until we release an update.

4. Information, not decisions: your responsibility

Everything the extensions show (checks, “why stuck?” explanations, differences, reports, availability, dates, amounts, advice and next steps) is information to support your own judgement. It is not a decision, an instruction, or professional, financial, tax, legal or accounting advice.

  • You decide. Any action you or your organisation take or do not take based on what an extension shows, such as releasing, changing, cancelling or posting orders, changing configuration, purchasing, planning, shipping, invoicing or closing a period, is your own decision and at your own risk.
  • Check before you act. Results can be incomplete or wrong, for example because D365 does not expose some data, your security roles hide it, data changed after it was read, settings or thresholds were chosen differently, or D365 behaves differently than expected. Verify the result in D365 itself before relying on it, especially in production.
  • Defaults are suggestions. Thresholds, checks, rules and catalogues are provided as starting points. Whether they suit your organisation is for you to decide and adjust.

We are not responsible for decisions taken, or not taken, on the basis of the extensions, nor for their consequences.

5. Your licence and forbidden use

For the term you paid for, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the extension you licensed, within the limits of your plan:

  • Individual: one named person, on up to two browsers.
  • Team: up to the number of users in your plan, in the one D365 environment the licence is bound to.
  • Agency pack: up to the number of people in your plan, each on up to two browsers.

The licence key is personal to your plan and confidential.

5.1 Everything remains ours

The extensions (free, trial and paid versions), their source code and object code, their configuration catalogs, checks, rules, texts, screens, icons and designs, the licence server, and this website with its texts, guides, images and design are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. All rights belong to PW Scan IT BV or its licensors. The names Scan It Labs, Supply Chain X-ray, Security X-ray, Config Diff, Inventory Hover and CMR consignment note and our logos are ours. These terms grant you only the right to use described above; no other right or licence is granted, by implication or otherwise. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

5.2 What is forbidden

Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you may not, and may not let or help anyone else:

  • copy or distribute: reproduce, publish, sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or otherwise make available an extension or any part of it, other than installing it for your own use from an official source: our listing in the Microsoft Edge Add-ons or Chrome Web Store, or a download that we provide to you or publish;
  • rebrand: offer an extension or any part of it under another name, logo or brand, white-label it, or remove, hide or change any copyright notice, name, logo or reference to us;
  • modify: change, adapt, translate, repackage or create derivative works of an extension, including publishing a modified copy as your own extension;
  • decompile: decompile, disassemble, de-obfuscate or reverse-engineer an extension, or extract its source code, catalog or rules, except as section 5.4 allows;
  • get around the licence: bypass, disable, alter or tamper with the licence check, licence keys, tokens, trial periods or seat limits; generate, share, sell or publish keys; use a cracked or modified version; or use one licence for more people, browsers or environments than your plan allows;
  • hack: access or try to access our systems (including the licence server), data or other customers' licences without authorisation; probe, scan or test their security without our written permission (see section 5.5); or overload, disrupt or attack them;
  • compete: use an extension, its output, catalog, checks or any part of this website to build, train or improve a competing product or service, including by text and data mining or to train an AI model;
  • misuse our names: use our names or logos in a way that suggests a connection with or endorsement by us.

We expressly reserve our rights to text and data mining of this website and the extensions, as allowed by EU copyright law.

5.3 What happens if you do

A breach of section 5.2 is a serious breach of these terms. We may immediately and without notice end your licence and any trial without refund, block the licence keys involved, and refuse future licences. We may also claim compensation for all damage, including the cost of investigating the breach, and ask a court to order the infringement to stop, as far as the law allows. Some of these acts, such as unauthorised access to computer systems or copyright infringement, can also be criminal offences, and we may report them to the authorities and to the browser stores.

5.4 What the law always allows

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that mandatory law gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract, such as the limited right under EU and Belgian law to decompile software when that is indispensable to achieve interoperability with another program, under the strict conditions the law sets. If a restriction in section 5.2 goes further than the law allows, it applies to the maximum extent the law allows, and the rest remains valid.

5.5 Found a security problem?

If you believe you have found a vulnerability, report it in confidence to support@pwscanit.com and do not use it, share it or access anyone else's data. We welcome good-faith reports and will not take action against someone who reports a problem this way and has not otherwise breached section 5.2.

6. Free versions, trials and betas

Free extensions, trials and versions marked beta, preview or early access are offered free of charge to let you try them. They may contain more errors, may change or stop at any time, and are provided entirely “as is”, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for their use.

A trial runs for 5 days from the moment you start it, without payment details. One trial per email address and per D365 environment per product. At the end of a trial the paid features stop; nothing is charged automatically.

You may install an extension and use its activation and settings screens without a licence in order to start a trial or activate a licence.

7. Payment and renewal

Licences are sold through Link (Stripe), which acts as merchant of record: Link sells to you, takes the payment, charges VAT where it applies and sends the receipt and invoice. Link’s own terms apply to the payment.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the customer portal or through Link; the licence then runs until the end of the period already paid. Refunds are described in our refund policy.

We may change prices for future periods. We announce a change at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then.

8. Your obligations

  • Use the extensions only with D365 environments and data you are authorised to access, and in line with your organisation’s agreements with Microsoft and its own policies.
  • Decide yourself whether, when and how to use the extensions against a production environment, and keep the load on your environment acceptable. You remain responsible for your D365 environment, its configuration, its data and your backups.
  • Keep your licence key, browser and devices secure, and tell us if you think a key has been misused.
  • Do not use the extensions for unlawful purposes, and respect the restrictions in section 5.2.
  • Comply with data protection law for the D365 data you view, export or share with the extensions.

9. Your data

Data read from D365 is processed in your browser and is not sent to us; we do not receive, store or process it, and we are not your processor for it. You, or your organisation, remain responsible for that data, including any exports or files you create with the extensions. To check a licence we process only the few fields listed on our security page, as described in our privacy policy.

10. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the extensions, licences and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, express or implied. In particular we do not warrant that the extensions are accurate, complete, up to date, error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every D365 version, configuration, customisation or browser, or suitable for your purpose, nor that they will detect every problem.

Descriptions, examples, screenshots and statements on this website and in the extensions describe how the products are designed to work. They are not warranties or guaranteed results.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows:

  1. No liability for decisions. We are not liable for any damage arising from decisions taken or not taken, actions performed or omitted, or results relied upon on the basis of an extension (see section 4).
  2. No indirect damage. We are never liable for indirect or consequential damage, including lost profit, revenue, savings, turnover, customers or goodwill; business interruption; delayed, wrong or missed deliveries, orders, production or postings; stock losses or write-offs; loss or corruption of data; costs of correcting configuration or data; fines and penalties; and claims of third parties, including your customers and suppliers.
  3. No liability for what we do not control. We are not liable for damage caused by D365 or changes to it, by your browser, devices, network or security roles, by your configuration or customisations, or by third-party services.
  4. Cap. For paid licences, our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid us for the licence concerned in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage. For free extensions, trials and betas it is limited to zero, or where that is not allowed, to €50.
  5. Time limit. Any claim must be notified to us in writing within six months after you became aware, or should have become aware, of the damage. After that the claim lapses.

These limits do not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited or excluded, such as for damage caused intentionally, by fraud or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or as far as mandatory consumer protection law applies. In those cases our liability is limited to the minimum the law requires.

12. Indemnity

If you use the extensions in breach of these terms, of the law or of your agreements with Microsoft or third parties, you indemnify us against claims of third parties resulting from it, including reasonable costs of defence. This does not apply to consumers as far as the law forbids it.

13. Third parties and force majeure

The extensions work with products and services of others, such as Microsoft D365, your browser, Stripe/Link, Cloudflare and our email provider. We are not responsible for their availability, changes or terms. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of those services, changes by Microsoft, cyber attacks, network failures, government measures or natural events.

14. Suspension and end

We may suspend or end a licence or access to an extension if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the security of our systems. If we stop offering a paid extension altogether, we refund the unused part of the current paid period. Ending a licence for a breach of section 5.2 is without refund (section 5.3); in other cases the refund policy applies. After a licence ends or a payment fails, an extension may keep working for a short time for technical reasons (for example up to 14 days without contact with the licence server, and 7 days after a failed payment). This is a tolerance, not a right to continue using it. You may stop using the extensions at any time. Sections 4, 5.1 to 5.4, 9 to 13 and 17 continue to apply after the end.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one on this page at the start of your current subscription period. We announce material changes by email at least 30 days before they apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel before they apply.

16. General

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains valid, and the provision is replaced by a valid one that comes as close as possible to its purpose; a liability limit that goes too far is reduced to the furthest limit the law allows. These terms, together with the refund policy, the privacy policy and the licence agreement (the LICENSE file) included in each extension, are the entire agreement about the extensions. If the licence agreement and these terms differ, these terms prevail. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your licence or rights without our written consent. These terms are written in English; translations are for convenience only.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes are settled exclusively by the courts of the judicial district of our registered office (Ondernemingsrechtbank Gent, afdeling Kortrijk), unless mandatory law gives a consumer another forum. If you buy as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence still applies.
